TIC Gums Opens Belcamp, Maryland, Brass Mill Operations Center
10/04/2013
“TIC Gums is proud of our commitment to local growth and economic stability,” said Greg Andon, President. “We believe in supporting the U.S. markets by continuing to manufacture products domestically as we expand into international markets.”
The firm now operates three facilities in Maryland. The Brass Mill Operations Center is an approximately 200,000 square foot facility on 20 acres. This location will initially contain warehousing to keep up with TIC Gums’ fast pace growth, the company said. Future plans for the Brass Mill Operations Center include investing in additional manufacturing capabilities to support the current production that takes place at the Richlynn Operations Center.
The company also operates its Texture Innovation Center in White Marsh, Maryland. The technical team at this facility creates new technologies for the food and beverage industries. Collectively known as “the Gum Gurus,” this team works closely with the other locations to support the advancement of texture and stability through the use of hydrocolloid systems.
