The investment will include the modernization of an existing 220,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that is estimated to build 3,000 homes annually. Production is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025.
“Clayton is a national single-family home builder dedicated to Opening doors to a better life through attainable homeownership,” said Keith Holdbrooks, Clayton Home Building Group chief executive officer and executive chairman. “With the need for affordable housing greater than ever, Conway is an ideal location to expand our modern manufactured home building operations. Together, Clayton and Conway can be a force for good.”
Clayton’s portfolio includes a range of site-built, modern manufactured, Tiny, CrossMod® and modular housing.
“Today’s announcement that Clayton is locating its new manufacturing facility in Conway is a major win for Arkansas,” noted Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC). “Clayton is a leader in the modern manufactured housing industry, and we are proud to welcome them to Conway. Congratulations to the local community on this economic development win, which will create new opportunities in the area.”
