Eaton Corporation Investing $23M in Roxboro, North Carolina

02/22/2011
Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer, is creating 120 jobs in the next four years and investing $23.3 million to upgrade its existing facility in Roxboro, North Carolina. The company will use the funds to build engine valvetrain components to reduce emissions and improve overall vehicle performance, fuel economy, and safety.

"This is an exciting day for us because we are always looking for opportunities to grow and add jobs with new technologies," said Jake Hooks, president, Eaton Automotive North America. "The state's support of this project is an excellent example of how government and industry can collaborate toward making greener, cleaner, and more fuel-efficient vehicles."

The One North Carolina Fund is supporting the project with a $100,000 cash grant. Eaton will also receive a Job Development Investment Grant that equals 60 percent of the state personal income withholding taxes from the creation of the new jobs.

Eaton has been located in Roxboro since 1965.
