ROCKWOOL Expands Marshall County, Mississippi, Manufacturing Operations
02/22/2025
The investment will include the addition of a new production line. Operations are scheduled to begin in 2027.
“ROCKWOOL thoughtfully selected Marshall County as the home of our first U.S. manufacturing site, and for over a decade, we’ve been proud to contribute to the local economy and support our neighbors. This latest investment reaffirms our deep commitment to Mississippi, the Marshall County community, and the American market,” ROCKWOOL North America President Rory Moss said.
To support the project the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. Tennessee Valley Authority assisted with the project, as well.
“MDA is proud to support ROCKWOOL as a valued member of Mississippi’s business community. Marshall County was chosen by ROCKWOOL for its first U.S. production facility, and this expansion 11 years later speaks volumes about our state’s remarkable reputation for quality. I am grateful to the ROCKWOOL team for once again choosing to invest in our state and in our people. This announcement certainly continues the ‘Mississippi momentum’ that is grabbing the attention of industry leaders around the world,” Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork noted.
Rockwool A/S, also known as the ROCKWOOL Group, is a Danish multinational manufacturer of mineral wool products. The company’s Marshall County facility produces a range of residential, commercial, industrial and roofing stone wool insulation.
“TVA and Northcentral Electric Cooperative congratulate ROCKWOOL on its decision to expand operations in Marshall County. It’s always an exciting day when we can celebrate a company’s commitment to continued growth in north Mississippi. We are proud to partner with Marshall County Industrial Development Authority and Mississippi Development Authority to support companies, like ROCKWOOL, creating job opportunities and investment in the region, and we celebrate this announcement together,” added TVA senior vice president of Economic Development John Bradley.
