Bremner Expands Kentucky Plant
03/05/2010
Bremner, which opened in Princeton in 1993, currently employs 600 people. It will increase the size of its existing facility from 700,000 to 900,000 square feet, and its land holdings from 42 to 65 acres.
"We have a very successful plant, and it makes sense to build upon that success," said Steve Smith, Vice President of Human Resources at Ralcorp Holdings, which owns Bremner. "As we considered other variables in terms of partnering, the local government and community have been very supportive of our presence there, and state of Kentucky. Those factors all drove the decision."
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has preliminarily approved Bremner for tax benefits up to $5 million under the Kentucky Business Investment Program. The incentive, up to $500,000 annually, can be earned over 10 years through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments.
