RareWire Software Manufacturer To Relocate Headquarters to Kansas City, Missouri

RareWire, a software company with a platform that makes it easy for web developers to create applications for mobile devices, will move its headquarters and operation to Kansas City, Missouri.

"The Kansas City area has a lot to offer to companies like ours, with tremendous support and excitement around entrepreneurship," said Kirk Hasenzahl, RareWire President. "We're looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to Kansas City's entrepreneurial spirit as we continue to grow."

The state of Missouri's economic development incentive package offered the firm more than $660,000 in tax credits from the Missouri Quality Jobs program as an incentive to relocating to Kansas City.

"Having a fast-growth high-tech company like RareWire make a significant capital investment in Kansas City, while creating 40 new local jobs, is excellent news for the metro area's economy," said Chris Pieper, Acting Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. "Our administration is focused on creating jobs and moving our economy forward, and I am pleased that we were able to provide the economic tools to help make this project possible."
