Telecommunications Company, 123.Net, To Open Remodeled Grand Rapids, Michigan, Data Center
04/05/2013
The $500,000 upgrade includes a hot and cold aisle design with redundant power and HVAC systems, security monitoring systems, direct connectivity to 123.Net's facilities in Southfield, Michigan, along with additional amenities including office area with available conference space.
Demand for data center and colocation services is growing across Michigan due to the adoption of managed cloud services, the necessity for off-site redundancy and security, and the expansion of network providers and digital media companies, company officials said. 123.Net's four SSAE-16 audited facilities in Michigan offers Michigan companies the opportunity to collocate in world-class data centers without having to go out of the state for redundancy.
"The newly remodeled 123.Net Grand Rapids data center facility allows our business partners to leverage our investment to expand their service offerings and to gain geographical redundancy for their critical infrastructure. Customers can replicate seamlessly from site to site over 123.Net's fiber network with the benefit of utilizing diverse power grids," said Dave Curran, Channel Manager for 123.Net.
