Japan-Based Newman Technology Expands Mansfield, Ohio, Operations

Japan-based Newman Technology, Inc., a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer of precision-engineered components, plans to expand its operations in Mansfield, Ohio. The $74 million project is expected to create 70 jobs.

The investment will include new production lines at the company’s existing facility.

To support the project Newman Technology was approved for a 1.225 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority.

Newman Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of Japan’s E-Drive Technologies, specializes in the production of precision engine, transmission, and drivetrain components. The company’s capabilities include aluminum die casting, precision machining, and assembly processes that support both internal combustion and electrified vehicle platforms.
