Alexium Locates in Greenville County, South Carolina

Alexium Inc. is planning to set up a new technical fabric manufacturing and research and development facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. The company will invest $8 million and create 200 new jobs over the next five years.

"We are pleased to locate our new facility in the South Carolina Upstate," said Alexium Director Stefan Susta. "The area offers us an excellent business environment and a strong work force, as well as exceptional market access."

The facility will be operational by the end of July. The readySC fund is assisting in training part of Alexium's work force.

Alexium produces technical fabric products for the U.S. military, and will partner with the U.S. Air Force Research Labs to develop new textiles and reactive surface treatment technologies.
