Applied Spectra Locates Headquarters in West Sacramento, California
05/14/2019
The new headquarters in West Sacramento doubles the company operating space to 13,000+ square feet. The larger facility addresses the company’s need for increased production floor space to meet the rapidly growing demand for the J200 Series LIBS, LA, and Tandem LA – LIBS Instrument and to consolidate the manufacturing of our recently acquired product lines from Australia Scientific Instruments.
The West Sacramento headquarters is equipped with a state-of-the-art application laboratory that features the company’s advanced analytical instrument products and large spaces for conducting training and technical workshops for customers and sales channel partners.
“Relocation of the company headquarters to West Sacramento was both a strategic and logical decision to support the strong growth of Applied Spectra, fueled by the market acceptance of our cutting-edge analytical instrument products based on laser ablation technology", stated Dr. Jong H. Yoo, CEO & President of Applied Spectra. “As we were evaluating locations for our new headquarters, access to talent, the proximity to the Bay Area, manufacturing supply chain infrastructure, affordable housing, and quality of life for our employees were the items that were top of mind. We are grateful for the assistance we received for locating the home for our corporate headquarters from the Greater Sacramento Economic Council and West Sacramento Economic Development and Housing Department. Finally, I am grateful to all of our employees for their dedication, loyalty, and commitment in making this new headquarter relocation possible.”
Applied Spectra will continue to maintain a local office in Silicon Valley whose function focuses on special engineering projects and product development. Along with this local office, the company now has international branch and subsidiary entities in South Korea and Australia to support our customers.
