05/15/2017
“We are excited for the opportunity to expand our business in Surgoinsville and appreciate the level of service we have received from both the State of Tennessee and the local Economic Development Authority,” Homeland Vinyl CFO Scott Smith said. With this expansion, Homeland will add 50,000 square feet to its existing facility and install new equipment. The construction is set to be complete in June 2017.
“I want to thank Homeland Vinyl for choosing to expand in Hawkins County,” Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe said. “When a company chooses to expand its existing facility in our state, it showcases that our strong workforce and business-friendly climate make Tennessee a great location for companies to have continued growth and succeed in our state. I want to thank Homeland Vinyl for its investment in Tennessee and for creating 50 new jobs in Surgoinsville.”
Homeland Vinyl manufactures a diverse portfolio of vinyl profiles, including fencing, rail and deck products. The company has operations in four states across the U.S. including the facility in Surgoinsville.
“In 2015, we were excited when we announced Homeland Vinyl had decided to locate a facility in Phipps Bend Industrial Park,” Hawkins County IDB Chairman Larry Elkins said. “Today’s expansion by Homeland Vinyl proves it is committed to Hawkins County and manufacturing continues to thrive here. We are grateful to Homeland Vinyl for its commitment and investment in Hawkins County. This expansion will benefit Hawkins County for years to come.”
