Williams Sausage Company Invests $3 Million To Expand Its Union City, Tennessee, Manufacturing Facility
05/03/2013
“Williams Sausage is excited to announce the expansion of our plant in Union City, Tennessee and the addition of 150 new jobs over the next two years. In these tough economic times, we consider ourselves very fortunate and are thankful for the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development’s assistance in this major expansion of our business,” Williams Sausage President Roger Williams said. “We don’t take it for granted that we are based in a state with a very business friendly environment. Without this ongoing support, we would find it very difficult to make these investments in our business.”
“I want to thank Williams Sausage for its continued investment in Tennessee and the new jobs created in Obion County,” Gov. Bill Haslam said. “Companies like Williams Sausage highlight the importance of existing industries in creating jobs and help us toward our goal of becoming the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”
“Tennessee’s unique business advantages allow companies with deep ties to not only grow but thrive,” said Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty. “With their investment, Williams Sausage Company is building on more than fifty years of success in Tennessee as it remains an important and growing employer of our high quality workforce.”
