Gabriel Expands Ashtabula, Ohio, Production Facility

The company is a market-leader in epoxy curing agents & additives, Phenoxy and alkyd resins, and complex specialty chemical manufacturing. It offers an extensive line of proprietary products serving the coatings, adhesives, and composites industries. Gabriel also offers custom manufactured chemicals utilizing multi-step chemistries and processes.
According to company officials, Gabriel has seen steady demand growth for its CapCure and Gabepro poly-mercaptan epoxy curing agents The first stage of this expansion took place in the third quarter of 2017 with the upgrade of several key pieces of equipment that had reached the end of their operational life. This yielded a 15% increase in production volumes.
Engineering work has continued throughout 2018 with the second phase of this investment to be implemented by Q4 2018. Upon completion the company expects to realize another 15-20% growth in total mercaptan capacity, officials said.
