Dad's Pet Care Expands in Arkansas After 2007 Tornado Damage

06/14/2010
Dad's Pet Care, a pet food manufacturer, will expand its Dumas, Arkansas facility and double its work force after being acquired by a new owner. The company will spend $10 million and add 44 jobs.

Arkansas is extending Dad's a five-year, 4 percent income tax credit on payroll. It will also receive a sales tax rebate for materials used to expand.

The facility currently employs 59 people. Dad's will hire microbiologists, managers, and technicians, among other employees.

A tornado severely damaged the building in 2007.
