06/19/2014
Ventra Ionia Main, LLC, a subsidiary of Ventra Greenwich Holdings Corp., will invest up to $8.5 million to expand operations in Ionia, Michigan, with plans to create up to 144 jobs in the region.

To support the company’s expansion, it will receive $995,000 in state and local development support, The Right Place and Ionia Councy Economic Alliance said. To support the company’s growth and its continued investment in Michigan, Ventra has been awarded a $500,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. The City of Ionia is supportive of the expansion project and is expected to approve a P.A. 198 local abatement valued at $495,000.

In 2007, Ventra Ionia Main acquired the 724,000 square foot facility at 14 North Beardsley Street in Ionia. Ventra manufactures automotive front and rear bumpers and grille assemblies for original equipment manufacturers including Ford and General Motors. The company offers diverse manufacturing capabilities, including: stamping, welding, chrome plating, molding, assembly, and testing.

“Ventra’s latest investment in Ionia reaffirms the economic growth that has continued to occur in the county,” said Jen Wangler, Business Development Manager, The Right Place and Ionia County Economic Alliance.
