06/29/2016
“Frontier Secure is excited to announce the opening of our new Customer Care Center in Wise County, and we want to thank our partners from the state, county, region and local community for making this a reality,” said Kelly Morgan, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Frontier Secure. “Wise County offers the talent we depend on to drive our 100% U.S.-based operations, and we are proud to play a role in supporting economic growth in Southwest Virginia. This expansion will provide us the additional capacity that we need to service our growing strategic partnership business.”
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership assisted Wise County and the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority with the project. VCEDA approved a $5.6 million loan to the Wise County Industrial Development Authority to secure the deal.
The Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission approved $2 million in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds. The company is eligible to receive state benefits from the Virginia Enterprise Zone Program, administered by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. Funding and services to support the company’s employee training activities will also be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, administered by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership.
“We want to thank the Wise County Board of Supervisors, Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority (VCEDA) and the Tobacco Commission for helping us make this project happen,” said Todd McReynolds, Frontier Secure’s Assistant Vice President Customer Care. “The communities’ strong work ethics coupled with the partnership with Mountain Empire and UVA-Wise make this a great location for Frontier Secure.”
"VCEDA approved a $5.6 million loan to the Wise County Industrial Development Authority to help complete the facility for Frontier Secure,” said Ron McCall, VCEDA Chairman, “and we are very excited about helping to bring these high level customer and tech support jobs to our region.”
“Today is a great day for Southwest Virginia. Frontier Secure’s decision to locate its customer care center in Wise County will have a tremendous economic impact on the region and the Commonwealth,” said Governor Terry McAuliffe. “This project is a testament to the strong workforce, business climate and strategic investment potential in this region, and in all corners of the Commonwealth. I congratulate Frontier Secure’s leaders on their expansion and thank them for their partnership with the Commonwealth in our continuing work to grow, diversify and build a new Virginia economy.”
“I am thrilled Frontier Secure has chosen Wise County to locate its customer care center and create hundreds of tech-related jobs,” said Secretary of Commerce and Trade Maurice Jones. “This center is a noteworthy step towards diversification in Southwest Virginia and a great example of the power of partnership among state and local officials. I congratulate the company and Wise County on this exciting win.”
