The investment will include additional space for metal roll forming, both wood and steel truss manufacturing and warehousing and distribution.
“We are honored by the trust our clients place in our services and products and are excited about the opportunity to serve our clients better with our new East Tennessee location! We are committed to continuing to provide exceptional value to everyone we are privileged to serve, along with providing so many new career opportunities. We also appreciate the warm welcome by the Morristown community,” Matt Stoll, CEO, Summertown Metals said.
Summertown Metals is a company that specializes in manufacturing and constructing metal buildings, particularly barndominiums, residential garages, and farm/ag buildings. They offer high-quality materials and custom solutions for both residential and commercial projects. The company has been operating for over 20 years and has expanded from a single building materials supplier into a custom building materials distributor.
“We often hear that relationships are the deciding factor for a company choosing to locate or expand in Tennessee. I believe today’s announcement is a testament to those cohesive partnerships as we announce the expansion of a Tennessee-based company into our East grand division. Paired with the company’s continued growth, Hamblen County’s diligent leadership and proximity to two-year, four-year and trade institutions will drive Summertown Metals’ success in the years to come,” TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter noted.
“Creating job opportunities and bringing investment to the region is fundamental to TVA’s mission of service. We are proud to partner with Morristown Utilities, Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to further that mission and welcome Summertown Metals to Hamblen County. We wish them success and look forward to working together to serve the Tennessee Valley region,” John Bradley, TVA senior vice president of economic development added.
