GE Aviation Hires 200 Employees at Middle River Facility

"The announcement of 200 new high-tech manufacturing jobs in eastern Baltimore County is good news for our local and state economy," said County Executive Jim Smith.
The plant will employ more than 1,000 people within the year after the hiring. Those positions will support the production of GEnx engine thrust reversers, jet engine brakes for Boeing 747-8 aircraft.
Over the past four years, GE has invested more than $200 million in the facility, which designs and produces components for commercial and military aircraft. Middle River is working with the Baltimore County Workforce Exchange to hire the new employees.
