ECCO Select Invests More Than $1 Million To Expand Kansas City, Missouri, Headquarters
07/18/2014
The expansion project will help the company access an international client base and bolster Missouri’s position as a growing hub for high-tech jobs, state economic development officials said.
“Missouri is proud to be home base for ECCO Select, a thriving company that complements our state’s position as a hub for high-tech, high-paying jobs,” Governor Jay Nixon said. “Maintaining a business-friendly environment and creating next-generation IT jobs is a top priority for my administration, and it’s rewarding to see companies like ECCO Select recognize those advancements by reinvesting in Missouri communities.”
“ECCO Select is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and with our headquarters here in Missouri, we’re in a great position to launch into new global markets,” ECCO Select President/CEO Jeanette Prenger said. “With strong technology infrastructure, a skilled talent pool, and a supportive business environment, Kansas City provides all the necessary ingredients to grow our business internationally.”
To assist ECCO Select with its expansion in Kansas City, the Missouri Department of Economic Development has offered a strategic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria. The City of Kansas City and Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City also partnered with ECCO Select to help make its expansion possible.
