A123 Systems Chooses Westborough, Massachusetts for R&D
07/23/2010
The company, which produces lithium ion batteries, will locate in a 67,000-square-foot building. The project is possible in part from a $5 million forgivable loan A123 received from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. The company plans to create 250 jobs in the state as part of a four-year, $80 million expansion program.
A123 will move its headquarters and R&D facility from Watertown, Massachusetts to an approximately 100,000-square-foot space in Waltham.
