Farrar Scientific Corp., a leading global manufacturer of ultra-low temperature cascade refrigeration products for pharmaceutical, life science, biotechnology and bio-repository applications, will locate its manufacturing operation in Ridgeland, South Carolina.

According to the Southern Carolina Alliance, “the company will occupy a 2,500 square-foot facility as a starting point, at 405 Old House Road in Ridgeland, where they plan to begin operations in the coming weeks.”

Sylvain Riendeau, Vice President of Sales at Farrar Scientific Corp. stated, “Due to significant growth in sales of the Farrar Scientific Corp. -80C ULC chamber, the demand for our products is increasing at a rapid pace. “This new location will be key to the delivery of our products in North America and internationally, and this will allow us to plan for future expansion of our manufacturing operations” said Jim Vuksic, President and CEO of Farrar Scientific Corp.

“We are thrilled to have Farrar Scientific Corp. as part of our local industrial community,” said Jasper County Council Chairman Henry Etheridge. “It’s an important company to recruit, as it is not only manufacturing critical products for the medical field, it is also creating good jobs right here in Jasper County.
