ATK Aerospace Systems Adding More Than 800 Jobs in Clearfield, Utah

ATK Aerospace Systems is investing $100 million in a Clearfield, Utah, manufacturing facility that will create more than 800 jobs, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. The new site will be adjacent to an existing ATK facility that produces composite fibers for stealth U.S. fighter jets. The new building will primarily build composite airframes and engines for commercial aircraft.

The Governor's Office of Economic Development Board has voted to extend ATK $19 million in tax incentives in the form of a post-performance tax credit. The board may also consider offering up to $262,000 to help train more than 130 specialized workers.
