Japan-Based Kintetsu World Express Opens London, Ontario Hub
11/09/2017
The office, located at 207 Consortium Court, is strategically located in Southwestern Ontario’s manufacturing, automotive, and agricultural corridor. KWE’s core business includes full service air and ocean freight forwarding along with domestic and cross-border trucking and warehousing and distribution. KWE is also a licensed customs broker in both Canada and the United States and offers supply chain design and consulting services.
“KWE has serviced many clients in the region over the years and has brought value through their broad logistics knowledge across many industries,” Greg Watson, Vice President, Sales and Marketing commented. “By opening an office in London, we feel we’re demonstrating a commitment to our existing customers and demonstrating to other businesses in the region that KWE is committed to Southwestern Ontario.
According to company officials, Southwestern Ontario, affectionately known as “The 519”, referring to the area-code, is a region with a population of nearly 500,000 people across the urban centre in London and nearby smaller communities. According to KWE Canada’s Regional Business Development Manager, Sebastian Gerber, the 519 Area is home to many manufacturers, importers, exporters, and producers.
“We’re really happy to be able to service them from such a close proximity,” said Gerber. He adds that many logistics service providers service this area from outside the region. “In London we want to do more than just business, we want to participate in the community as much as possible. To date, we have taken part in several business conferences and networking events. It’s a great opportunity to meet with the business leaders of the region, learn about their needs and share with them what KWE Canada can do. If a business wants unbelievably good customer service and the peace of mind that their shipments are truly being looked out for, we want to talk to them!”
