01/28/2015
At its continental U.S. operations center, located at 2180 Satellite Blvd., the new facility will house Puerto Rico-based V&EG’s regulatory compliance services, product development, technical support, qualifications, control system solutions, instrumentation, and training.
“V&EG selected Gwinnett because of the growing opportunities that the area has to offer,” said Ronald Pacheco, co-founder of V&EG. “Selecting Gwinnett County was strategic for us, because of its proximity to an international airport and interstates, as well as access to an excellent pool of skilled engineering and science professionals from colleges and universities within the region. We are very enthusiastic about this new project and we’re convinced that this is the right place to be in order to grow our business.”
V&EG employs 123 people in its centralized operations in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, near the San Juan metropolitan area. A provider of biotech, pharmaceutical and engineering services required by Federal and European Health regulatory agencies, this year, the company began offering its specialized services within the Southeastern region of the United States, making Gwinnett a promising selection for its first United States presence, Gwinnett Chamber officials said.
“Validation & Engineering Group’s decision to establish its United States operations in Gwinnett County speaks to the high-caliber talent found here,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Chris Carr. “With a vast network of biotech companies and direct access to the world’s busiest airport, it’s clear that V&EG is well equipped for future growth.”
Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chairman Charlotte Nash, said, “Metro Atlanta is the premier location for international business and Gwinnett County welcomes this global engineering leader to our community. We are thrilled to add another company to the ranks of the more than 600 internationally based businesses that already call Gwinnett home.”
“Engineering and health sciences industries are growing nationwide and we are delighted that Validation & Engineering Group has chosen to grow right here in Gwinnett,” said Nick Masino, Senior Vice President of Economic Development for Partnership Gwinnett and Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development. “This expansion speaks to Gwinnett’s ability to develop and foster skilled talent and to attract thriving international companies like V&EG to our community.”
