10/13/2017
The new campus, which is expected to take 18 months to complete, will include five buildings totaling 660,135 square feet as well, as an 80,000-ton production line designed to supplement the U.S.’s growing composite material industry.
“The new South Carolina facility is evidence of our determination to be further globalized, first creating markets and then supporting them locally,” said Zhang Yuqiang, President of China Jushi. “In 1995, our products entered the U.S. market. We are now exporting capital and want to work with the U.S. to promote the fiberglass industry and market...We have selected Gray Construction as the partner in order to achieve this goal.”
Gray Construction is a nationally-ranked engineering, architecture and construction firm with nearly 60 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, distribution and retail facility construction.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with China Jushi USA Corporation in seeing its first United States manufacturing operation become reality,” said Phil Seale, Gray’s Executive Vice President, manufacturing/food & beverage markets. “We look forward to a successful project that will not only impact the local economy but will also play a role in building America.”
China Jushi USA Corporation has been operating domestically for over twenty years and already has distribution centers in Columbia, South Carolina; Elkhart, Indiana; and Irwindale, California. The new facility will serve as the company’s new U.S. headquarters and will supply reinforcements to a wide variety of industries including marine, construction, infrastructure, transportation and alternative energy.
