Lucas Systems Locates Headquarters In Wexford, Pennsylvania
02/11/2019
According to state officials, the company will move into a 45,000-square-foot building in close proximity to its current Wexford location. Lucas Systems plans to invest at least $7.3 million into the project, which will result in the creation of 55 new, full-time jobs and the retention of 66 existing jobs over the next three years.
“We greatly appreciate the assistance of the Governor’s Action Team and Governor Wolf’s commitment to our continued growth,” said W.S. Brown IV, CEO of Lucas Systems. “Our ability to expand and hire talented workers is critical to driving innovation and better serving our customers in Pennsylvania and around the world.”
Lucas Systems received a funding proposal from the Department of Community and Economic Development for a $50,000 Pennsylvania First grant and $165,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits to be distributed upon creation of the new jobs. The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team, an experienced group of economic development professionals who report directly to the governor and work with businesses that are considering locating or expanding in Pennsylvania.
“Every day, we’re seeing more and more tech companies coming to or growing in the Pittsburgh region,” Governor Tom Wolf said. “Lucas Systems’ expansion in Wexford is more evidence of the growing strength of Pennsylvania’s tech sector.”
