The investment will include an additional 175,000 square feet at the company’s existing production facility to increase finishing capacity for absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries. Operations are scheduled to begin in Fall 2028.
“As the company continues to expand its capacity of AGM batteries, we are pleased to continue our growth within the Temple area,” said Larry Miksiewicz, Chief Manufacturing Officer of East Penn. “The workforce here is second-to-none, and we look forward to leveraging this strategic location to better serve our customers.”

“Reinvestment at this scale reflects a strong operation supported by a skilled workforce and a competitive manufacturing environment,” noted Adrian Cannady, President and CEO of the Temple Economic Development Corporation. “We are proud to support East Penn’s continued growth in Temple.”
