U.S. Waffle Plans Frozen Food Facility in Pickens County, South Carolina

U.S. Waffle plans to launch a new frozen food processing facility in Pickens County, South Carolina. The company's $22.1 million investment is projected to create approximately 114 new jobs.

U.S. Waffle Company will be relocating existing operations and adding new production lines by moving into an existing, 310,000-square-foot facility at the intersection of Highway 123 and Highway 178 in Liberty, South Carolina. This new facility will be producing frozen pancakes and waffles for a variety of retailers and restaurants. Including the 114 new jobs, there will be approximately 350 total employees at the Liberty facility. The new plant is expected to come online in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project. A $200,000 Set Aside grant was also awarded to Pickens County to assist with costs associated with the project.
