J.B. Hunt Transport Plans Tooele County, Utah, Operations

Supply chain solutions provider J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc plans to establish operations in Tooele County, Utah. The $18.85 million project is expected to create 95 jobs during the next eight years.

To support the project the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity post-performance awarded a tax reduction. The corporate incentive is part of the state’s Rural Economic Development Tax Increment Financing program.

“Transportation is a cornerstone of Utah’s economy, linking businesses, communities, and markets worldwide,” said Jefferson Moss, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity. “With its strategic location and skilled workforce, Utah is a hub for logistics innovation. Companies like J.B. Hunt create quality jobs, strengthen our supply chains, and fuel long-term growth.”

J.B. Hunt Transport is a North American provider of transportation and logistics services. The company offers various services, including intermodal, dedicated, truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), and last-mile delivery, serving diverse industries and acting as a vital link in many supply chains.
