Discovery 2 Scale Plans Nambé Pueblo, New Mexico, Headquarters Operations

10/22/2026
Advanced materials technology company Discovery 2 Scale plans to establish operations at Nambé Pueblo, New Mexico. The project is expected to create more than 80 jobs.

The investment will include the lease and renovation of approximately 6,500 square feet of laboratory and office space to support the development and commercialization of advanced materials using artificial intelligence, robotics and automated manufacturing technologies.

“Discovering a new material is not the hard part anymore, the hard part is proving it works and figuring out how to make it at scale,” said Discovery 2 Scale Founder and CEO Dr. Saryu Fensin. “That is the gap we built D2S to close, we are putting AI, robotics, manufacturing and testing together under one roof because discovery alone doesn’t put a material on an aircraft, in a ship or into a manufacturing line.”

To support the project, the State of New Mexico has committed $500,000 through the Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) program.

“New Mexico has always been home to cutting-edge innovation,” noted New Mexico Economic Development Secretary Rob Black. “Discovery 2 Scale is building on that legacy by commercializing technology developed here and creating new private-sector opportunities for New Mexicans.”

Discovery 2 Scale is a technology commercialization and business development company focused on helping emerging technologies transition from research and development to commercial production.

“Discovery 2 Scale’s continued growth adds exciting momentum to New Mexico’s advanced manufacturing economy,” added Albuquerque Regional Alliance (AREA) President and CEO Chad Matheson. “The company is creating a bridge between locally developed innovation and commercial production, ensuring that more of the resulting expertise, investment and opportunity remain in our state. It has been a pleasure working with the Discovery 2 Scale team, and AREA looks forward to supporting their continued success.”

“We are excited to continue connecting the tribal community with the State of New Mexico, national laboratories and technology companies, as we work to build a more diversified, resilient and sustainable economy for future generations,” said Nambé Pueblo Development Corporation President Randy Vigil. “By creating pathways for collaboration, investment, and technical workforce development, we can help ensure that tribal communities participate in and benefit from New Mexico’s innovation economy.”
