Omega Industries Plans Fayetteville, North Carolina, Manufacturing Operations

10/27/2026
Railroad infrastructure products manufacturer Omega Industries, Inc. plans to establish operations in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The $3.5 million project is expected to create 20 jobs in Cumberland County.

The investment will include the renovation of an existing facility on South King Street to accommodate manufacturing for railroad crossings, track products and steel components.

“When I started this company nearly 50 years ago, I never imagined how far we would come,” said Omega Industries Founder Isidoros Garifalakis. “Our growth has always been about hard work, good people, and the opportunities in front of us. We’re proud to continue investing in American manufacturing, and we’re excited about what the future holds for Omega in Fayetteville.”

To support the project, the company will receive a $152,000 Building Reuse Grant from the State of North Carolina to assist with renovations to the existing facility. The City of Fayetteville approved a resolution supporting the grant and committed a local cash match of at least $7,600, representing 5% of the requested grant amount.

Omega Industries, Inc. is a manufacturer of railroad maintenance and infrastructure products, including precast concrete railroad crossings and related rail components.
