Carlex Glass America Expands Nashville, Tennessee, Manufacturing Operations

11/23/2025
Automotive glass manufacturer Carlex Glass America plans to expand its operations in Nashville, Tennessee. The more than $55 million project is expected to create 143 jobs in Davidson County.

The investment at the company’s existing manufacturing facility will enable it to fabricate larger precision-formed automotive glass.

“This year marks nearly seven decades of our company serving as an anchor for the broader Nashville economy, and we are thrilled to further strengthen our roots here via this investment. We have an amazing team in Nashville, and together, they have made our facility the ‘best-in-class’ glass manufacturer for the world’s leading automakers. We will continue to deliver for our customers and our community in the months and years to come,” noted Ramzi Hermiz, CEO, Carlex.

Carlex Glass America serves original equipment manufacturer customers across the automotive sector, providing products ranging from windshields, panoramic roofs, sidelights and backlights.

“Tennessee’s position as a hub for automotive and advanced manufacturing continues to drive innovation and economic growth. Carlex is a trusted partner in building on that momentum, and we’re confident this investment will strengthen our workforce, advance innovation and reinforce Tennessee’s reputation as a premier state where companies choose to innovate and grow,” noted Deputy Governor and TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter.

“TVA and Nashville Electric Service are pleased to congratulate Carlex on its decision to expand operations in Davidson County. It’s always an exciting day when we can celebrate a company’s commitment to continued growth in the region. We are proud to partner with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Nashville Area Chamber and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to support companies like Carlex Glass, and we look forward to its continued business success in the Valley,” added John Bradley, senior vice president of economic development, TVA.
