Caterpillar Selects Gray Construction to Build Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Facility

Caterpillar has selected Gray Construction to build its forthcoming, 850,000-square-foot facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The factory, which will produce axle assemblies for large mining machines, will be built to LEED specifications.

"Caterpillar is a global leader with a broad portfolio of leading products, technologies and brands, and the Gray team is enormously honored and excited to be selected for this flagship project," said Stephen Gray, president and chief operating officer for Gray Construction.

Gray expects to hire predominantly from the local area and use North Carolina companies for the project.
