Diversified Fall Protection Expands Westlake, Ohio, Operations

Diversified Fall Protection, a company that specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of highly engineered fall protection systems, plans to expand its operations in Westlake, Ohio. The $2.2 million project is expected to create 50 jobs.

The investment will include the consolidation of the company’s supply chain activities.

“The Greater Cleveland area provides access to a skilled manufacturing workforce with deep industrial expertise, particularly in steel fabrication and metal working,” said Andy Montero, Diversified Fall Protection Chief Financial Officer. “Through multiple interstate highways and proximity to major industrial centers, we are able to efficiently serve our national customer base. Additionally, the area’s business-friendly environment and state incentives, combined with its high quality of life, help us attract and retain top talent. These factors make Westlake an ideal location for expanding our production capabilities and continuing to deliver industry-leading fall protection solutions to our customers.”

To support the project the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved tax credit assistance.

“Diversified Fall Protection’s decision to establish Westlake as its new headquarters demonstrates the value proposition of Ohio’s manufacturing talent, cost of business and quality of life,” noted JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “This expanded facility will include 50 new jobs and the latest machinery and equipment to ensure Diversified Fall Protection continues to succeed in Northeast Ohio while it engineers and produces the latest fall protection solutions for its customers worldwide.”

Lorad LLC, operating as Diversified Fall Protection, designs fall protection catwalks, ladder systems, loading platforms, stairs and gangways, as well as roof guardrails, safety railing and fall protection equipment.
