Arconic Inc., a global technology, engineering and advanced manufacturing leader, will relocate its global headquarters from New York City to Fairfax County, Virginia. The move will bring approximately 50 new jobs to the community.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority to secure the project for Virginia. Governor Northam approved a $750,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist the County with the project.

“We are honored that Arconic, a world-renowned manufacturing company, has chosen Fairfax County and the Commonwealth as the new home of its global headquarters,” said Governor Ralph Northam.“Arconic selected Northern Virginia for its access to top industry talent, global connectivity, public transit options, and competitive business climate, and we are proud that the Commonwealth’s reputation as an ideal location for headquarters operations continues to grow. With multiple Arconic operations already based in Virginia, we look forward to further strengthening our important corporate partnership with this global Fortune 500 company.”

“It is exciting to welcome another Fortune 500 company headquarters to the Commonwealth’s impressive corporate roster,” said Secretary of Commerce and Trade Brian Ball. “As evidenced by the many industry-leading companies that are based in Fairfax County and the region, we are confident that Northern Virginia will be an optimal home for a company of Arconic’s caliber. Recruiting and retaining high-quality companies and jobs of the 21st-century is critical to Virginia’s economy, and we thank Arconic for contributing to our mission.”

“I am delighted to welcome another Fortune 500 company to Fairfax County,” said Gerald L.
