Franklin Fueling Systems Invests $2.8 Million To Expand Madison, Wisconsin, Manufacturing Facility
06/13/2013
Franklin Fueling Systems, a producer of systems for the movement of water and automotive fuels, is noted for developing the first practical submersible electric motor using water as a lubricant.
In November, Franklin Fueling Systems purchased a Sherman, Texas, company offering complementary products like stainless steel flexible hose connectors, composite manhole covers and curb pump hoses. Franklin Fueling Systems will consolidate these operations into its Madison, Wisconsin facility. Additionally, Franklin Fueling Systems is in-sourcing some production of high volume fueling station products that are currently purchased from a European supplier.
“We’re pleased to be expanding in the Madison area where we find a skilled pool of dedicated employees,” said Jay Walsh, Executive Vice President of Franklin Fueling Systems.
The company is eligible for $139,000 in tax credits through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. The tax credits will be distributed annually in direct relation to the number of jobs retained over a three-year period, based on the number of new, full-time positions created. “We are pleased to co-invest with a global leader in fuel systems to help them expand their operations in Madison,” said Reed Hall, secretary and CEO of WEDC.
