06/06/2016
The company is partnered with Select Laboratory Partners, based in North Carolina. Louisiana native Ryan Williams will head operations in New Orleans and expects to hire up to 25 people at full capacity, beginning with the first five to 10 hires by the close of 2016.
“Expanding into New Orleans, we are excited to see there is a strong talent pool alongside the great food, music, and culture. This is the perfect place for us to grow, and it's wonderful to be able to provide these opportunities for the residents of the city,” said Ryan Williams, Vice President of Research and Development at Select Laboratory Software. “We're very happy to be home.”
“The entrance of Select Laboratory Software contributes significantly to the city’s expanding BioInnovation and Health Services cluster. This software solution provider develops leading-edge practice options for local clinicians and creates new job opportunities for local residents in a high-growth, high-wage field,” said Quentin L. Messer, Jr., President/CEO of the New Orleans Business Alliance. “Their decision to expand here demonstrates New Orleans’ increasing attractiveness for healthcare IT companies and bioinnovation entrepreneurs. We’re very excited to have them grow their company here in the Crescent City.”
"This is a great story of a Louisiana native coming back home to take advantage of the momentum in two emerging local industries: bioscience and digital media," said Michael Hecht, President/CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. "As Select Laboratory continues to grow as a leading medical lab processing provider, our region's excellent business conditions and trained workforce will provide the platform for future success. It will be exciting to watch the Select Laboratory team create software in downtown New Orleans that can help save lives around the world."
