Sterlite Technologies Establishes Lugoff, South Carolina, Operations Complex

STL’s new facility will increase the company’s capacity to meet the growing demand for high-speed internet connectivity, broadband access and 5G technologies.The new facility is expected to be completed by fall 2021.

This investment strengthens our commitment to the U.S. and will enable digital empowerment with 5G readiness, while creating opportunities for the local communities,” said STL General Manager Stephen Szymanski.
As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project. Kershaw County was also awarded a $300,000 Set-Aside grant to assist with costs related to this project.

This announcement proves that South Carolina is an ideal business destination for companies of all types,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.
