Goodrich Will Add 50 Jobs in Burnsville, Minnesota

Goodrich is planning an expansion of its Sensors and Integrated Systems facility in Burnsville, Minnesota. The company will create 50 jobs by the project's 2012 completion date, and add space to its existing 243,000-square-foot facility, which includes a wind tunnel to simulate aircraft environmental operations.

"This expansion makes a strong statement about the high value our customers place on our products and the technologies that drive them," said Phil Rosnik, vice president and general manager of Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems. "Our success has been built through the hard work and dedicated service of our very talented employees, past and present. We appreciate their efforts, as well as the efforts of our state and local officials, in our present success and the very bright future we're creating for Goodrich and the state of Minnesota."

Minnesota's Department of Employment and Economic Development proposed a law passed last spring that will exempt the company from paying sales taxes on materials purchased for the expansion through 2015.
