Raybern Foods Expands Shannon, Mississippi, Production Operations

Food manufacturer Raybern Foods plans to expand its operations in Shannon, Mississippi. The $7.1 million project is expected to create 70 jobs.

The investment at the company’s existing facility will include the purchase of new equipment and the addition of sandwich production lines.

“Raybern Foods is proud to continue growing our operations in Shannon and investing in the community we have called home for more than a decade. This expansion will allow us to increase production capacity to meet growing demand for our products while creating new opportunities for workers in the area. We appreciate the support of the Mississippi Development Authority and Lee County as we continue to grow our business in Mississippi,” said Raybern Foods Senior Director of Business Development Doug Hall.

To support the project, the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive (MFLEX) program. Lee County is also assisting with the project.

When an existing employer is selling more and ready to reinvest right here at home, we move quickly to help make it happen,” noted Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork.

Raybern Foods produces heat-and-serve deli-style sandwiches, including more than a dozen varieties of frozen and refrigerated products.
