Vetroresina Expands Greenville, South Carolina, Manufacturing Complex
11/09/2017
Founded in 1968, Vetroresina is an international firm with manufacturing plants in Italy, Brazil and Greenville. The company’s Greenville facility opened in 2008 and serves the entire North American market.
To fulfill a wide variety of custom order requests and a growing product line, the company is investing $7.5 million to expand its manufacturing center by 50,000 square feet. The expanded facility is expected to be operational by the first half of 2019.
“Vetroresina is thrilled to be expanding our operations in Greenville, S.C. Despite opening our facility during the economic downturn of 2008, we persevered, met our target goals, and are now enjoying steady and growing business. Our success would not have been possible without the welcoming support of Greenville and the state of South Carolina, for which we are extremely thankful, “ Vetroresina LLC General Manager & CEO Elena Colombarini said.
Expanding in such a vibrant, growing and highly sought-after location will continue to help us attract great employees and increase our ability to engage new technology to serve our customers with the highest-quality product possible,” she added.
“South Carolina’s manufacturing industry is one of the fastest growing in the world, and we have a strong workforce and competitive business environment to thank for that. We welcome this new investment by Vetroresina and look forward to seeing the impact these new jobs will have on Greenville County,” said Governor Henry McMaster.
“South Carolina has built an international reputation as a leader in manufacturing, and today’s announcement of Vetroresina’s expansion is a further testament to that. I congratulate this company on this latest success and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.
“Vetroresina’s decision to expand is due to a collaborative effort from federal, state and local governments all working together on behalf of a company that is a proven partner to Greenville. Congratulations to all involved and continued success to Vetroresina,” said Greenville County Council Chairman H.G. “Butch” Kirven Jr.
