Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co. Expands Its Manufacturing Plant In Liberty, South Carolina
04/28/2016
The new development in Pickens County Commerce Park, a 310-acre Class A Industrial park with 6,000 feet of prime frontage on four-lane US Highway 123, located 18.7 miles northeast of Greenville, South Carolina, is expected to bring $23.1 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 100 jobs in Pickens County. This project represents its second announced expansion since establishing operations in Pickens County in 2006.
As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to the project.
“Reliable is extremely thankful for the land grant and tax credits provided by the state of South Carolina and Pickens County. The additional land will allow us to expand our facilities and to develop the necessary additional capacity to put Reliable in a position to fulfill its potential in the growth of the fire sprinkler market,” Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. President Kevin T. Fee said.
“The state of South Carolina and Pickens County are playing a major role in enhancing our ability in the manufacturing and distribution of fire sprinkler protection products throughout the world. We are appreciative of the strategic partnership that exists among the state of South Carolina, Pickens County, and Reliable,” he added.
“Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co. was the first company to locate in the Pickens County Commerce Park. It is a testament to the partnership between the company and Pickens County that Reliable has chosen to expand its presence here in our community. Pickens County Council is proud to support manufacturing growth, which ultimately supports every citizen. We look forward to watching Reliable’s continued success here for many years to come,” said Pickens County Council Chairman Jennifer H. Willis.
