Jones Lang LaSalle: Global Market Perspective, First Quarter 2011

In its Global Market Perspective, Jones Lang LaSalle expects the first quarter of 2011 to bring continued improvement to global commercial real estate markets.

2/4/2011
In its Global Market Perspective for the first quarter, Jones Lang LaSalle says "resurgence" is the buzzword for 2011. It expects this year to be the strongest for real estate trading and performance since 2007, translating to pre-recession levels. Investment volumes are expected to rise another 20-25 percent this year, following 50 percent growth last year.

Strong corporate earnings indicate that companies are preparing to spend again. But quality space will be scarce in 2011, moving market conditions from tenant- to landlord-favorable. This will especially be the case in Asia Pacific markets.

Report highlights include the normalization of business conditions, a surge in investment volumes, and the return of corporate occupier optimism.
