FutureCeuticals Expands Momence, Illinois, Operations
01/23/2017
FutureCeuticals develops fruit, vegetable, and grain-based powders and extracts for food ingredients, dietary supplements, cosmetics and healthcare products, and conducts R&D for Van Drunen Farms. Incorporated in 1999, the company contracts with food, beverage, dietary supplements and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
According to the company, which holds more than 50 patents for functional food ingredients, the additional space will house its 50 to 60 member sales, customer service and marketing force. Another 20 to 30 employees are expected to be hired within the next 12 to 24 months. The expansion is expected to be complete by July.
Together, FutureCeuticals and sister company Van Drunen Farms, the leading producer of organic culinary herbs in the United States, own and operate 670,000 square feet of manufacturing, storage, R&D, sales and administrative space in nine Momence facilities, officials said. The company's’ total employment has nearly doubled in six years, from 370 workers in 2010 to 680 today.
