Hainesport Transportation Group Plans Gallatin, Tennessee, Operations
10/21/2025
The company’s new outbound rail-served waste transfer operation facility, located off Airport Road, will allow it to move 100% of construction and demolition (C&D) material out of state by railcar. Operations are scheduled to begin in early 2026.
“Rail offers a long-term solution for managing solid waste in a rapidly growing region,” said Patrick Dauria, Vice President and General Manager of Waste Disposal for HTG. “By moving C&D material by rail, we can help reduce the burden on municipal landfills, ease commercial traffic on local roads, and provide a service that meets the needs of Middle Tennessee residents and small businesses.”
Hainesport Transportation Group (HTG) offers comprehensive "cradle-to-grave" disposal solutions, including roll-off hauling, a C&D transfer station, a short-line railroad, and a rail-served landfill. The company operates through subsidiaries like Champion Disposal, Creekside Landfill, and Technical Rail Services.
“Gallatin Transfer reflects the confidence companies place in Gallatin as a strategic location to do business,” noted Rosemary Bates, Executive Director of the Gallatin Economic Development Agency. “HTG’s operations not only enhance our distribution infrastructure, but reinforce Gallatin’s role as a city where industry can invest, innovate and succeed.”
