10/04/2025
The investment will include the construction of a new 150,000-square-foot production facility at the company’s existing Oral-B site.
“This is a significant investment not just in our local economy, but in the future of advanced manufacturing and skilled jobs here in Iowa City,” said Iowa Economic Development Authority.
To support the project Procter & Gamble will be awarded $5.25 million in tax benefits through the Iowa Economic Development Authority's High Quality Jobs Program. These benefits include a 2% investment tax credit, up to $3 million, and a refund of sales or use taxes during construction, up to $2.25 million. The investment tax will be delivered as $600,000 in credits annually across five fiscal years. Additionally, the Iowa City City Council will offer a tax exemption.
