Men's Wearhouse Eliminating 118 Jobs in Bay City, Michigan
11/11/2010
"It's a smaller distribution center," said Men's Wearhouse Senior Vice President of Operations Jamie Bragg, explaining the company's decision. "It's not as centrally located to the stores as some of our other locations are."
The Bay City center is one of four distribution centers that Men's Wearhouse is closing in the United States. The others are located in Orlando, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; and Fife, Washington. After those closures, the company will retain six U.S. distribution centers.
"[The Bay City employees] have always produced a quality product and done a really good job," Bragg said. "It was a tough decision, a very tough decision."
