KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools Expands Cincinnati, Ohio, Manufacturing Operations

11/03/2026
Power fastening equipment manufacturer KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools, Inc. plans to expand its operations in Cincinnati, Ohio. The project is expected to create 37 jobs.

The company will acquire new manufacturing equipment and increase the use of robotic automation at the company's existing facility.

“SENCO is proud to call Ohio home and has been manufacturing innovative fastening solutions in Cincinnati for 75 years,” said KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools President and CEO Cliff Mentrup. “The skill and dedication of our workforce is instrumental in growing our production capabilities and providing customers with industry-leading products and technology. We look forward to continuing our legacy of US manufacturing and creating new jobs for our local communities.”

To support the project the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) approved a 1.332 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit.

“SENCO is proving that investing in new technology and keeping production in Ohio go hand in hand,” noted JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “These 37 new jobs in Cincinnati, backed by U.S.-sourced materials and a skilled manufacturing workforce, show why companies choose to grow here.”

KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools, a subsidiary of Japan-based KYOCERA Corporation, specializes in the development and manufacturing of professional fastening tools and systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

“SENCO is a strong example of how foreign direct investment strengthens our region’s advanced manufacturing base by developing technologies that drive long-term competitiveness,” added REDI Cincinnati Vice President of Project Management Kevin Donnelly. “By investing in robotics, automation and new technologies, SENCO is helping position Cincinnati as a leader in the adoption and use of next-generation automation technologies.”
