South Korea-Based ALUKO Group Plans Halls, Tennessee, Aluminum Manufacturing Operations

South Korea-based ALUKO Group, a company specializing in aluminum extrusion and nonferrous materials, plans to establish operations in Halls, Tennessee. The approximately $110 million project is expected to create 285 jobs in Lauderdale County.

The company’s new integrated aluminum manufacturing facility, located in the former Tupperware building, will support its customer base across the electric vehicle (EV), solar energy, construction and building industries.

“This strategic investment in Halls, Tennessee, is a significant milestone in ALUKO Group's long-term North American strategy, establishing an eco-friendly supply chain for key U.S. industries like EVs and solar energy. We are honored to be a part of the Lauderdale County community, and we extend our deepest gratitude to Gov. Lee and TNECD for their support as we commit to creating 285 new jobs for the region,” Do Bong Park, Chairman, ALUKO Group said.

ALUKO Group consists of ALUKO, Hyundai Aluminium, Gogang Aluminium, Alutec, KPTU, Hyundai Aluminium Vina and Alutec Vina. The company’s product portfolio spans industrial applications, including display devices, mobile devices, vehicles, ships, solar module frames and secondary battery cases, as well as construction materials such as aluminum sheets, curtain walls and structural frameworks.

“South Korea has become the state’s top foreign direct investment partner since 2019 thanks to companies like ALUKO Group that have contributed to the more than $13 billion invested in Tennessee in the last 6 years. It’s an honor to take part in announcing additional jobs and investment in Halls today, and I believe Tennessee’s skilled workforce and rich manufacturing background will prove to be the ideal location for all of the ALUKO Group’s U.S. manufacturing,” noted Deputy Governor and TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter added.
