Hanwha Advanced Materials Plans Cartersville, Georgia, Manufacturing Plant

The new facility, scheduled for operations by Summer 2024, will be located at Highland 75 Corporate/Industrial Park and will supply Qcells with encapsulant film.

Hanwha Advanced Materials America, a subsidiary of the Hanwha Group, is part of the automotive division of Hanwha Advanced Materials Corporation. Based in Seoul, South Korea Hanwha Advanced Materials Corporation is a world leader in the manufacturing of construction materials, such as plastic floor materials and artificial marble, automotive components such as GMT, EPP, and interior decorations, and other plastics products such as packing materials and films.

We are excited that Hanwha Advanced Materials will add another crucial part of the solar supply chain to Georgia’s already robust ecosystem.”
Project Manager Jacob Lee represented the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s (GDEcD) Global Commerce team in partnership with the Bartow-Cartersville Joint Development Authority, Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development, Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (Georgia EMC), and Georgia Quick Start.
